While Layton investigates, he uses his rare access to the front cars to gather intelligence for a brewing rebellion against the train's creator, the mysterious Mr. Wilford. Main Cast and Characters

Backstory: On boarding day, Wilford was drunk and missed departure. Melanie, the train’s chief engineer, sealed the doors and has been impersonating Wilford (via recordings and forged messages) for 7 years. Her goal: keep order. Layton now knows the secret. He’s forced to partner with Melanie to stop a brewing Tail rebellion led by (Jaylin Fletcher), Layton’s protégé. But Melanie reveals she has Miles’ mother in a drawer. Layton agrees to help find a saboteur cutting the train’s water supply. The culprit: Erik (one of Melanie’s own security). Episode ends with Layton telling the Tail the truth: Wilford is dead.
