-Persist makes it visible in File Explorer. Without it, it’s PowerShell-only.

If you need a report of all currently mapped drives and their full network paths (UNC paths), use the Command Prompt: win 11 map drive

If you know the path is correct but cannot connect: -Persist makes it visible in File Explorer
