"Who sent you?" Thorne spat, his voice trembling. " The Russians? The Triads? I can double whatever they’re paying." She simply pointed it at his chest
He gagged, clawing at the table, his eyes bulging in terror. Within seconds, his limbs went rigid. He slumped back into the booth, a statue of flesh and bone, his eyes screaming in silence.
She bypassed the front door. Thorne had beefed up security, hiring ex-mercenaries who patrolled the perimeter. But Elara had spent the last five years learning the blueprints of every building in New Eden, and more importantly, learning the weaknesses of men.
