Model Predictive Control (MPC) is a powerful control strategy widely used in various industries, including process control, robotics, and energy management. However, the computational complexity of MPC algorithms can be a significant bottleneck, particularly for large-scale systems or high-performance computing (HC) applications. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of techniques to accelerate MPC on HC architectures, including parallel computing, GPU acceleration, and optimized numerical methods. We also propose a novel approach to speed up MPC using a hybrid CPU-GPU framework, which leverages the strengths of both architectures.
