The Symbian File Server is arguably the most critical component after the kernel. It manages file systems (FAT32) and drive mounting. EKA2L1 implements a virtual File Server that translates Symbian file paths to host file system paths. This allows the emulator to mount a folder on the host computer as the "C: Drive" (Phone Memory) or "E: Drive" (Memory Card) of the virtual device.
