The story follows two Romani families in a small Danube riverbank settlement. A young man, Zare, is forced into an arranged marriage with the sister of a local gangster, Dadan. Meanwhile, Zare’s father, Matko, tries to scam Dadan and gets tangled with a grumpy, half-dead gangster named Grga. The film escalates into weddings, betrayals, pig-eating contests, a man buried alive, and a goose-stepping wedding band.
