When Iginio Straffi and Rainbow S.p.A. launched Winx Club in 2004, they sought an English version for international distribution. They partnered with Cinélume, a prominent dubbing studio in Montreal. Unlike other versions that would follow, the Cinélume dub was commissioned directly by Rainbow.
