The film is set during the Bosnian War (1992–1995). Luka, a Serbian engineer from Belgrade, moves with his family to a remote town in Bosnia to build a railway tunnel as a symbol of Yugoslav brotherhood. His wife, Jadranka, leaves him for a musician, and his son, Miloš, is conscripted into the Bosnian Serb army and captured as a prisoner of war. | | Escape vs
