The artwork for 'Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends' (2008) is a stunning example of Renaissance-inspired art, with a painting of King Charles I's execution.
With their sophomore effort, the fragility of Parachutes hardened into resolve. The cover art features a black-and-white portrait of the globe, but this time it is disjointed, floating in a void. However, the real visual shift happened in the singles.
