By abstracting complex three-dimensional structural data into a clear, consistent 2D representation, LIGPLOT highlights key non-covalent interactions, including hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic contacts, and atom accessibilities. This paper reviews the algorithm, input requirements, output features, applications, and limitations of LIGPLOT, placing it in the context of computational structural biology and drug design.
