I recently tried to import an OVA of into VirtualBox running on an Intel NUC . The import succeeded, but starting the VM gave VBOX_E_PLATFORM_ARCH_NOT_SUPPORTED . The fix? The OVA was built for ARM, but my host was x86_64 – impossible without emulation. I switched to QEMU for that specific VM and left VirtualBox for native-architecture guests.
