It is a common misconception that the standard Right-click > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder option in Windows allows you to set a password. It does not. However, Windows Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions offer a feature called Encrypted File System (EFS). Select the file or folder you want to protect. Right-click the item and select Properties.
