HP Notebook PCs - How to lock or unlock the fn (function) key
The keys act as standard function keys (F1–F12). To perform the secondary action (like mute), you must hold down the Fn key while pressing the function key. How to Toggle Action Keys Mode

Notice : The user no longer needs Ctrl, Alt, or Win keys for common shortcuts. One thumb holds Action Key; the other fingers play the "action keyboard."
