Original Xbox has a 2 KB masked ROM inside the MCPX (Media Communications Processor – NVIDIA). This ROM is user-flashable. It contains an RC4 key to decrypt the first 256 bytes of the Flash ROM. In Xemu, the MCPX ROM is emulated as a constant byte array. The emulator recreates the decryption step before handing control to the BIOS.
