Seung-Ha is the catalyst for the drama. He is a sadist who enjoys controlling Hae-Joo. He sees her "junkie" nature not as a problem to be solved, but as a toy to be exploited. He represents the toxic cycle of addiction that Hae-Joo tries to escape.
