Many people ask if they can simply drill a hole and dry out the glass, or inject new sealant. While there are DIY defogging kits available online, they are rarely recommended. Even if you manage to clear the moisture, you cannot refill the vacuum or replace the Argon gas. The window will still have lost its insulating value (R-value), and the fog will likely return within a year.
However, if your windows are foggy between the panes, you are fighting a losing battle by trying to reseal the glass. In that case, your best bet is to replace the insulated glass unit to restore your home's thermal barrier.
