This is the climax. Naruto loses control to the Nine-Tails, forcing Pain to use his ultimate jutsu, Chibaku Tensei (Planetary Devastation), to trap him. Naruto eventually meets his father, Minato Namikaze (the Fourth Hokage), in his subconscious, regains control, and exits the beast mode to fight Pain one-on-one in Sage Mode.
