The protagonist is likable—not overpowered to the point of boredom, but competent enough to be cool. The real stars, however, are the heroines. Whether it is the "Hero" who is actually just a battle-junkie with a sweet side, the maid who breaks the fourth wall, or the various demi-human royalty, the dialogue flows naturally. It feels less like a fantasy epic and more like a high-budget sitcom set in a fantasy world.

It is a perfect comfort read. No stress. No tragedy. Just a peaceful other world and a genuinely likable main character.
