Imam Al-Banna compiled this collection to provide the common believer with a concise, authentic, and manageable set of daily prayers. He observed that many Muslims were either unaware of the specific supplications of the Prophet ﷺ or were practicing innovations ( Bid'ah ). Al-Ma’thurat was designed to standardize daily spiritual practice based strictly on the Qur'an and Sunnah.

(Arabic: المأثورات, literally "the transmitted" or "the narrated") refers to a renowned compilation of daily adhkar (remembrances of Allah) and du'as (supplications). It is most famously associated with Hasan al-Banna (1906–1949), the Egyptian scholar and founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.
