The episode begins with Hae Young narrating her life story, highlighting her struggles in finding love and her reliance on her unusual superstition. Despite a 100-point gap between their scores, Kotoko hand-delivers a passionate love letter to Naoki. Turns out, Kotoko’s father is childhood friends with Naoki’s father. Mr. Irie invites them to stay at the Irie mansion—temporarily. Kotoko arrives, starry-eyed, thinking it’s fate. Naoki appears at the top of the stairs, sighs, and mutters, “You again.” He reads it expressionlessly, then hands it back:
The rest of the episode follows Hae Young's attempts to get closer to Min-woo, despite his initial reluctance. We also meet her best friends, Yeon-joo (played by Yoon Bak) and Yoon-hee (played by Park Geon-hye), who provide comedic relief and advice throughout the series.
The series premieres with an introduction to our protagonist, Oh Hae Young (played by Jung Eun-ji), a bright and cheerful high school student who has a peculiar habit of getting hit on her head whenever she's around the people she likes. This "kiss of fate" phenomenon has led her to believe that a kiss on the forehead is a sign of true love.
