The absence of regular allies (outside of the UNSUCKLE anti-Gorgom group, who are often outmatched) highlights Kohtaro’s vulnerability. He is physically powerful but emotionally fragile. The show forces the audience to confront the psychological toll of being a Kamen Rider. The tragedy culminates in the relationship between Kohtaro and Shadow Moon. In Nobuhiko, Kohtaro sees what he could have become—a being stripped of morality, fully embracing the power of Gorgom. The finale of the series is legendary in the genre for its brutal finality; there is no handshake, no easy redemption. The of Black isn't just the story; it's the physical decay of the prop, mirroring Kotaro’s own bodily trauma.
