If you purchased a digital copy, search your inbox for "Microsoft Store" or "Office Product Key".

Legitimate product keys for Publisher 2010 originally came from three sources:

It was a typical Monday morning for John, a freelance graphic designer. He had just landed a new client who needed a brochure designed, and he was excited to get started. However, as he booted up his computer and opened Microsoft Publisher 2010, he realized he had a problem.

Using an unlicensed product key violates the Microsoft Software License Terms and may constitute copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or local laws. Penalties can include fines (up to $150,000 per willful violation in the US) and, in rare cases, civil lawsuits.

No legitimate product keys are sold by Microsoft or authorized retailers anymore. Any website offering a “free” or “working” product key for Publisher 2010 is almost certainly distributing stolen, volume-licensed, or illegally generated keys — which may contain malware, be blocked by Microsoft, or violate software piracy laws.
