"Sisterhood Above All," focuses heavily on the origins of the Harkonnen sisters and the deep-seated roots of their feud with House Atreides. The Past: Origins of the Feud Most of the episode takes place roughly 30 years prior to the main timeline, exploring the childhood of Valya and Tula Harkonnen on the frozen planet Lankiveil. A Family Tragedy: The Harkonnens live in disgrace, blamed for cowardice during the Battle of Corrin. Young Valya (played by Jessica Barden) convinces her brother, Griffin, to confront Vorian Atreides to restore their family's honor. However, Griffin is killed, an act the Harkonnens believe was committed by the Atreides. The Rise of Valya: Seeking power to avenge her brother, Valya joins the Sisterhood. She shows a natural affinity for "The Voice," an ability that catches the eye of Mother Superior Raquella. Raquella eventually shares her greatest secret: a genetic archive of the Great Houses maintained by forbidden "thinking machines". Tula's Revenge: While Valya rises in the Sisterhood, a young Tula (Emma Canning) infiltrates House Atreides. She seduces a young Atreides heir, Orry, but eventually massacres him and his entire family using poison as revenge for Griffin's death. The Present: Dangerous Secrets In the current timeline, the sisters' past actions continue to shape their present-day machinations. Tula’s Subterfuge: Tula (Olivia Williams) is seen mourning the loss of an acolyte, Lila, who seemingly died during the Agony. However, the episode's end reveals that Tula has secretly kept Lila's body in a hidden chamber. Forbidden Tech: Defying the rules she sworn to uphold, Tula uses the forbidden AI technology (a machine named "Anirul") to pump spice into Lila's chamber, hoping to rejuvenate her mind. Valya's Mission: After being dismissed by Desmond Hart in the imperial palace, Valya focuses on maintaining her grip on the Great Houses. She receives word that Desmond may be the "one born twice" mentioned in Mother Raquella's final prophecy. 11 sites 'Dune Prophecy' Episode 3 Recap - A Tale of Two Sisters Dec 1, 2024 — dune: prophecy s01e03 h264
