Under the guise of defending Allah’s transcendence (tanzih), they emptied worship of its object by denying the very attributes by which Allah describes Himself in His Book and through His Messenger ﷺ. They claimed that affirming Allah’s Hand, Face, or His rising over the Throne implies corporeality (tajsim). In doing so, they abandoned the clear (muhkam) for the ambiguous (mutashabih) and accused the righteous predecessors (al-salaf al-salih) of anthropomorphism.

The primary objective of the text is to dismantle the theological methodologies used by these groups to deny or distort the Attributes of Allah as found in the Quran and Sunnah.
