When you activate a device, CTV stores a "token" on that device.

If the activation fails, it is usually due to one of the following technical hiccups.

| Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Open CTV app on your streaming device → a 6–8 character code appears. | | 2 | On a computer or mobile browser, go to (or ctv.ca/activate ). | | 3 | Sign in with your CTV account (or create one for free). | | 4 | Enter the on-screen code. | | 5 | Select your TV provider (e.g., Bell, Rogers) and log in with your provider credentials. | | 6 | After success, the TV app refreshes and grants access. |
