If you saved a file but realized you saved over the wrong version (or deleted a layer):
: Press Win + R , type %appdata% , and navigate to Adobe > Adobe Illustrator [Version] Settings > [Language] > DataRecovery . recover ai file
Click OK . The file will open with a "[Recovered]" suffix in the title. If you saved a file but realized you
