Yawning is the body's natural way of opening the Eustachian tubes.

See an ENT if:

Intentionally yawn several times. The motion of opening your jaw wide helps pull the Eustachian tubes open.

Inhaling steam from a hot shower or a bowl of hot water can thin mucus and reduce swelling in the nasal passages.

If the physical movements aren't working, your Eustachian tubes might be swollen shut due to allergies or a cold.
