PluralEyes is an audio/video synchronization tool. It analyzes audio waveforms from multiple cameras and external recorders, then syncs them automatically to a master timeline.

1. When to Use PluralEyes

Multi-camera shoots (weddings, interviews, events). Dual system sound (camera scratch audio + external recorder like Zoom or Tascam). No timecode available (relies on audio waveform matching).

2. Workflow Overview

Import media into PluralEyes. Analyze & sync. Export to your video editor (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Resolve, etc.).

3. Step-by-Step Guide Step 1: Prepare Your Media

Ensure all clips have audible, continuous audio (even scratch mic from camera). Avoid long silent gaps before clap/slate. Keep file names organized (e.g., CAM1_01 , ZOOM_01 ). pluraleyes

Step 2: Open PluralEyes & Create a Project

Launch PluralEyes. Click New Project . Choose a name and save location.

Step 3: Add Media

Drag & drop folders or files into the Media Bin . PluralEyes automatically groups clips by audio waveform similarity (not just file names).

Step 4: Adjust Sync Settings (Optional but important) Click the Gear icon (Settings) and review: | Setting | Recommended | |---------|--------------| | Sync Method | Audio (default) – best for waveform sync. | | Sync Point | Use entire clips (not just first/last few seconds). | | Drift Correction | ✅ Enable – corrects slight clock drift in long takes. | | Ignore Audio Below | -40dB (avoids syncing to silence). | Step 5: Run Sync
