Early graphics tablets often suffered from input jitter, resulting in jagged lines that lacked the confidence of traditional ink. SAI implemented a powerful smoothing algorithm that corrected these micro-deviations in real-time. This allowed artists to achieve crisp, clean line art with a latency that was imperceptible to the human eye. This feature became so synonymous with quality line art that it became a standard feature in almost all subsequent drawing software, including Krita and Clip Studio Paint.
